Pair of 8 yr old Cocker/Pekingese Bonded Brothers in Belgium, Wisconsin For Sale

Waldorf and Statler are Cocker Spaniel/Pekingese mix brothers. They are about 8 years old and bonded brothers-which means that they can not be separated.
Puppy Love Rescue, found them in a shelter down south. The person would had owned them, also had 16 other dogs-18 dogs total. When that person passed away, animal control came in and took the dogs. The other 16 were in one vehicle. They were taken to the shelter and immediately euthanized. Wally and Statler were loaded into a different truck and arrived a little later. We pull from this shelter quite a bit and were alerted to the fact that they were probably going in to be euthanized, so we made the decision to pull them. They were taken to the vet and were not in great shape. Both boys needed teeth pulled, etc. After the quarantine period, we brought them here to Wisconsin because we had a person who thought she wanted to adopt them. When the boys were placed in her home, she decided that she just did not want dogs at this time, so Wally and Statler, came back to PLR, to be fostered while we look for the perfect loving home for them.
These boys are such a pair of lovers! Wally is bigger than Statler and also more outgoing. Statler has a tendency to cower when people walk at him quickly. I don?t know what happened to him to make him so skittish, but he is. It helps to get down to his level when you are meeting him. Wally just wants to give kisses to everyone! They are very gentle and do well with other cats and dogs. They also are good with kids, but I think that visiting kids would be a better thought for them rather than living in a busy, noisy household. They love to walk and really need to be out for a couple short walks every day. Statler puts on the brakes and just gives you a look if you try to cut him short on his walk time;-) They would be great dogs in a country setting rather than city, because loud noises and big trucks scare Statler and then he freezes. So it is much better to be somewhere that is not really loud and busy.
I am a great believer in everything happens for a reason. Wally and Statler were not put to sleep with the rest of that group and were brought here to Wisconsin to find the family that they need to be with. They are loving boys and will be faithful companions for what ever lucky family adopts them. Rescued by Puppy Love Rescue in West Bend and fostered in Belgium,Wi.
Their adoption fee is $400.00 for the pair or $300 if you are over 65. They are fully vetted and micro chipped.
